Kildeer Principal's Message

A Look Back...
Curriculum Night ~ It was so nice to see you all at Curriculum Night on Tuesday and Thursday.  If you missed it, we spent the first portion of the evening learning how our Extended Learning Specialist Team (ELST) support all children and collaborate with classroom teachers.

Thank You! ~ Thank you to our PTO for providing us with our summer picnic lunch!  It was beautiful and added sunshine to our day.
A Look Ahead...
MAP Testing Begins Next Week ~ Your child's classroom teacher can share specifics about when your child's classroom is assessing.  Please help your child to do his/her best by getting a great night's rest and eating a healthy breakfast.  Results will be sent home via backpack mail as soon as all students have been assessed and the score reports are available.

4th and 5th Grade Parents, Extended Math ~ Click here for information about Extended Math.

PTO ~ Our Kildeer PTO is an important part of our school community. They support our school in so many ways – making it a family-oriented environment through events such as Ice Cream Social, Book Fairs, Bingo Blast and the Family Picnic.  In addition, they provide valuable resources to enhance our students’ experience at Kildeer. Cougar Press, Cultural Arts and Roller Skating in gym class are just a few examples of some fabulous programs that benefit every student at Kildeer.  This year, their generous donations provided our new water fountains, lighting for the small gym stage and our new sound system in the large gym.  None of these accomplishments could occur without the help of our fantastic parents like you. There are VOLUNTEER opportunities, which support the events on the day of, and there are CHAIR positions, which truly create these magnificent events.

If you’re interested, please visit the Kildeer PTO website via this link.

Also, on Wednesday, September 19th, the PTO will be holding a General Meeting ~ everyone here is invited.  It will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the school cafeteria.  This is just another way to hear what’s going on and how you can become involved.

District 96 Dash ~ Join District 96 families, teachers, and staff for the 2nd annual District 96 Dash. The 5k walk/run will step off from Twin Groves Middle School, 2600 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., at 8:30 a.m. on Sun., Sept. 23. REGISTER ONLINE (each registered runner and walker will receive a T-shirt) and mark your calendar for this fun family activity that all ages will enjoy. All the PTOs in District 96 are working together to sponsor this event and will donate the proceeds to the District 96 Kids in NeedFund. If you are unable to run, please consider making a DONATION.
