Cultural Arts Assembly ~ Chinese Acrobats
Students were mesmerized this week at our cultural arts assembly that featured the Chinese Acrobats. Some of my favorite kid comments included, "it was like they didn't have bones!", and "I think they were magic...for real!" The flexibility, agility, and grace of the acrobats was absolutely astounding. We're so fortunate at Kildeer to have our wonderful PTO and the support of our parents bring us these amazing events. Thank you!
5th Grade Variety Show
Look out Hollywood, here come our Kildeer 5th graders! The talent at our 5th Grade Variety Show brought the house down Thursday and Friday night. The kids worked incredibly hard, whether showcasing their talents on the stage, or behind the scenes. I am endlessly grateful to the parent volunteers who dedicated so much of their time to make this show what it was.

A parent survey was sent out Tuesday from the District to all parents of elementary students. The survey is asking for feedback on your experience with the new report card. Please take the time to complete the survey as we value your feedback. CLICK HERE AND COMPLETE THIS BRIEF SURVEY. Be sure to click the SUBMIT button when you finish, to send your responses. Lawn Treatment Application Notice
District 96 uses Integrated Pest Management--a program that combines preventive techniques, non-chemical methods (such as bait traps), and the appropriate use of pesticides (with a preference for products least harmful to human health and the environment).
On the weekend of May 5 & 6, 2012, the District 96 lawn treatment provider, Zenith Landscaping, will treat grassy areas adjacent to all District buildings. Signs will be posted to indicate that the treatments have been applied. In the event of rain, the applications will occur on the following weekend, May 12 & 13, 2012.
