Boy's Night Out
Getting reading for middle school continued this week for our 5th grade boys. Our boys came together with Country Meadows 5th Grade boys for a night of hangin' out with the guys! A ton of fun was had by all. Thank you so much to our PTO for putting together these amazing events, making the end of the elementary experience so memorable for our students.
Keepin' Up With Kildeer!
Thank you to Principal of Woodlawn Middle School, Mr. Grana, for visiting with us at our last Keepin' Up With Kildeer meeting of the 2011-12 school year! Mr. Grana answered oodles of questions centered around the exciting transition to middle school coming up before we know it for our 5th grade students (Tear! We'll miss them SOO MUCH!). If you weren't able to make it, no worries! You'll have the chance to get the scoop coming up at the 6th grade Parent Orientation Evening ~ Woodlawn Middle School on Monday, April 23rd, at 7:00 p.m.
A Message From Student Council ~ SHOE DRIVE!
Is your closet stuffed with dozens of shoes? Some without pairs? Well if that is your case, please listen up! At Kildeer School, Student Council are going to start a shoe drive on April 23 - May 11! It is called Soles4Souls. They have donated over 17 million shoes! Please, for all those girls and ladies out there, you can bring in flip-flops, sandals, and even dress shoes! Boys, you can also bring Athletic shoes! ANY KIND OF SHOES CAN BE DONATED! Even half pairs work! As worded in the information "Every shoe counts!" The shoes donated should be new or gently used because we don't think a kid would enjoy a shoes with his/her toes hanging out! All of these shoes will be donated to kids and adults who are victims of suffering. We hope that if we all contribute we can possibly get rid of poverty. Soles4Souls will take 1 year old shoes all the way to size 15! Soles4Souls goal is to change the world - 1 pair of shoes at a time!
Thank you for your donations!
