Kildeer Principal's Message

A Look Ahead...

MAP Testing ~ Our students began MAP testing this week. Each classroom will take the math and reading MAP assessment. Your child's teacher can provide specific information regarding testing times.

As this assessment is completed and score reports are analyzed, you will be provided with information about your student. In the meantime, if you have any questions about the assessment, how it is administered, and how the information is used, please do not hesitate to contact me.

A Reminder From Your Student Council ~ PAJAMA DRIVE! ~ Together We Can Make a Difference! ~ Kildeer Student Council will be having a pajama drive (NEW only) and/or NEW book drive.  Click here to learn more about this amazing cause to deliver warm p.j.'s and nurturing books to kids in need.  We are PROUD to be Kildeer Cougars who Make a Difference for KIDS!

In conjunction with this wonderful cause, The Kildeer Student Council has declared Friday, February 1st as PAJAMA DAY at Kildeer.  Student are encouraged, but not required,  to wear PJs to school. A few things to remember: no slippers, no blankets, no pillows, no stuffed animals, and no robes or Snuggies. Dress code guidelines as found in the Parent/Student Handbook will apply with the exception of wearing Pajamas (i.e. no spagetti straps, no short shorts, etc.).

*A special note from Mrs. Fisher's 4th grade class...They tell me there is a great sale going on at Kohls and to check there for PJ's.  I can't confirm this, but I promised to spread the word!  Mrs. Fisher's class has raised $100.00 to go towards this drive.  I think it's so great that they've contributed as a class to raise money and Mrs. Fisher is going out to stretch the buck and get everything she can to donate as a classroom.  Clever thinking and for a great cause!  Thank's Mrs. Fisher's class!!!
