A Look Back...

Blue Ribbon School! ~ We are so proud at Kildeer as we've been recognized by the US Department of Education and have received a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School award.  The children were so excited during the announcement at our assembly on Monday.  Their enthusiasm is evidence of their passion and drive to always do their best at school!  The faculty and staff at Kildeer work diligently to ensure all children reach their maximum potential and the partnerships with families are invaluable to the learning process.  

A Look Ahead... 

Paw Patrol ~ We are really excited about a leadership opportunity for all 4th and 5th grade students this year.  Our 4th and 5th graders will support our entire school community by demonstrating and recognizing the Cougar 5 expected behaviors at Kildeer.  Students will receive a Paw Patrol badge for one week and recognize others by giving them a Cougar Paw when they see students make positive choices.  They'll get to do this during the morning as students are getting ready to enter classrooms and during their grade level recess.  All students will have the opportunity to participate for one week.  Prior to their week of Paw Patrol, they'll discuss the responsibility of the role with myself (Mrs. Smith) or another Kildeer staff member.  We look forward to seeing the leader that all children have within them!

PTO Highlight of the Week

Fall Book Fair ~ Our Fall Book Fair begins on Tuesday. We have a great selection of books for all ages and grades. Don't forget about our evening hours during the Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, September 19th from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
