Cougar Pride Assembly
Thursday we had our February Cougar Pride Assembly. We zoomed in on our expected behavior, following directions. Students loved seeing many of our Kildeer friends and teachers featured in a brief movie that reviewed the importance of following directions and showed examples modeling this behavior. We were proud to recognize many students for following our expected Cougar Five. We also celebrated achievements for students reaching reading goals, and those that were awarded for receiving the District 96 Foundation Kids Grant and Vernon Library bookmark contest. Go Kildeer Cougars!!
Keepin' Up With Kildeer!
Thank you to those of you who attended today's parent/principal meeting, Keepin' Up With Kildeer. Today's discussion highlighted literacy practices, differentiation and the integration of technology and learning center support and resources. Thank you to Mrs. Kieser, Mrs. Gruenwald, Mrs. Sarlitto, Mrs. VandenBerge and Mrs. Schumer for sharing your expertise and experiences with us! Fifth grade parents, join our next meeting on April 13th for a conversation with Woodlawn Principal, Mr. Grana, and Assistant Principal, Mr. Murphy. The meeting is from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Kildeer and will focus on the transition to middle school. If you plan on attending I ask that you R.S.V.P. so we are able to plan our space accordingly. A Look Ahead...
Kindergarten Registration-Needs to be Completed by March 1st!
Kindergarten registration for the 2012-2013 school year began on January 3 and is due by MARCH 1st! Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2012. Registration will be accepted at Willow Grove Kindergarten and Early Childhood Center between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm when school is in session. Please bring an original birth certificate (not a copy), travel visa or passport for the enrolling student. Additionally please bring two forms of residency (i.e. a tax bill or monthly mortgage statement or current lease agreement AND utility bill or home insurance bill or driver's license).
