A Look Back...
Family Reading Night ~ Thank you to all of those that participated in and attended Family Reading Night! Kids rotated stations throughout the evening to listen to reading from many staff that made this such a fun, family night. Mrs. Schumer did a fabulous job organizing this experience. Thank you!!
From Student Council ~ What a fun week everyone had dressing different each day. Crazy sock day brought out a lot of original ideas, and Student Council looks forward to presenting many different dress days in the future.
Blue Ribbon ~ This week, 2nd grade teacher, Miss Koldon, and I traveled to Washington DC to receive our National Blue Ribbon Schools Award. The celebration was inspiring. We were lead by Aba Kumi, Director of the National Blue Ribbons School Award, and had United States Secretary of the Department of Education, Arne Duncan, congratulate us on this exciting achievement. As each school crossed the stage to receive their plaque and Blue Ribbon flag, we danced across the stage to show our true excitement for the achievement. Miss Koldon and I went with the robot...because why not!?! Our cougar mascot, Champ, even snuck into the celebration. WE ARE PROUD TO BE KILDEER COUGARS and be recognized with this high honor.

Blue Ribbon Ceremony ~ Kildeer School will be celebrating our Blue Ribbon Schools Award recognition on Tuesday, November 27th at 1:30p.m., with a school assembly. Parents/guardians are welcome to join in on the festivities. Due to safety codes, we are limited to the number of guests, therefore we require that you r.s.v.p. right away to let us know if you plan on attending. This will also allow us to provide you with a badge, providing you with entry to our assembly (as we always require for school visitors). If we exceed the number of visitors, pushing us over our allowable capacity, we will first, allow only one guest per family, and second, choose by a random raffle. We will contact you if this is the case. If you plan on attending, please email pcampbell@kcsd96.org. We ask all visitors to be at Kildeer by 1:15p.m., at the latest. YOU MUST R.S.V.P. BY FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16th TO ATTEND. Thank you!
Picture Retake Day ~ Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Wednesday, November 28th a.m.
Students who were absent should bring in their picture forms and get their pictures taken.
Students who need retakes of their pictures, need to return the entire package in order to have their pictures taken this day.
