A Look Back...
A good week to say THANK YOU!
The Kildeer Staff enjoyed fabulous dinners during the two conference days in November. We thank the Kildeer PTO Hospitality Committee for hosting and so many families for the wonderful meals and goodies!
Thank you to all of our families who donated to our COAT DRIVE and our PTO for supporting this! Generous bags and bags of warm coats, snow pants, gloves, scarves, etc. were so appreciated by the school these were donated to.
What a wonderful way to begin the holiday season. Kildeer collected many toys to send to TOYS FOR TOTS. Your generous donations will fill the hearts of so many children and parents.
Thank you to all who donated books to the wonderful cause, Bernie's Book Bank! We far surpassed our goal of 4000 - our Kildeer Family donated 4409+ books. What a great way to spread literacy!

Thank you to all who attended the Barnes & Noble Book Fair last Saturday. Mrs. Keller, Mr. Pazol, Mrs. Schumer and I had a wonderful time sharing stories with the many children and families who stopped by. The chorus did a lovely job, filling the bookstore with their beautiful voices. Thank you to Mr. Tater for orchestrating such an exciting performance! The Trilogy School of there Performing Arts was enjoyed by many as well as a visit from our Kildeer Cougar! Thank you to the PTO for organizing the event and to all of the families that enjoyed the morning with us and for supporting our school through the proceeds of both the Deer Park Barnes and Noble and the Kildeer Jimmy Johns!
What a thrill the Jesse White Tumbling Team gave us today! Some of the children on the team have been tumbling since they were 6 years old! It is a privilege, not a right, to be a part of the team. The tumblers have to follow strict rules, including having high marks in school and making positive, safe choices. It was an honor to have them and our Secretary of State, Mr. Jesse White, entertain us today. We thank our PTO and parents for bringing us this Cultural Arts event for the second year in a row! I PROMISED many of your children I would get these videos in this message today. ENJOY!!
Yes...that's our Secretary of State, Mr. Jesse White, standing on his head!
Mrs. Christenson and Mr. Duggan lead our Grade 4 and Grade 5 Orchestra, and Beginning Band this week in three beautiful performances! The kids were amazing and the performances were enjoyed by all that came to see them. It's so impressive to see how dedicated the students are to come together and make such wonderful music! Keep up the great work - we look forward to hearing you again in the spring.

A Look Ahead...
Parking for the Holiday Party
Kildeer will run a shuttle service to/from Twin Orchard Golf Club and Kildeer School from 1:20 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16th for our wonderful PTO volunteers. We urge you to take advantage of the shuttle - Old McHenry Rd. can become dangerous especially when vision for our entrance and exit is blocked by cars. We ask that you park in the center of Twin Orchard's lot.
Please feel free to drop your supplies off at school prior to 11:20 a.m. You may pull directly up to the front of the school to unload.

Human Growth and Development: Attention Parents of all 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders
Human Growth and Development is coming up in January for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. We like for parents to be fully informed to know what is coming up. The forms link includes additional information.
Coats
It looks like winter is arriving, and it's getting pretty cold out there. Please remember that we go out for recess everyday (weather permitting), and that students should bring coats and other items such as hats, gloves, snow pants, and boots in order to enjoy the outside activities and the season. We thank you in advance for helping your child remember to bring their warm items.
Looking for Something??
Eye Glasses, Cell Phones, Boots, Hats, Coats, Water Bottles, Books, Lunch Boxes And Much More- No, that is not a Holiday Wish List....That is our LOST & FOUND!! Please stop by and collect your students' missing items and/or have your child look for items themselves. After the winter break, we will be bagging everything up for donation to a local charity. Thank you!
